Avena Sativa (Oat) Bran
Oat bran extract is obtained from oats which are fruits of the Avena Sativa plant, and it is a type of cereal grain best grown in temperate regions. Studies have found that oat bran was effective in treating several inflammatory skin conditions, including dermatitis (inflammation of the skin), pruritis (an itchy skin condition), acne and eczema.

It also possesses beta-glucan, which has the unique properties of providing a protective layer while deeply moisturising skin. Oat bran is also rich in several antioxidants, including Vitamin E, flavonoids and phenolic acids.

Yoghurt Extract
Yoghurt is rich in protein which helps to repair skin tissues, making it more radiant and young-looking. Yoghurt also contains lactic acid, an organic compound that aids in diminishing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines by tightening and shrinking pores. It also has exfoliating properties that transform your skin from dry and dull to lighter and softer.

The probiotics in yoghurt calm the skin by promoting cell renewal and repairing the lipid barrier in dehydrated skin. Its high zinc content regulates oil production and works as a mild astringent which reduces acne breakouts. It also carries anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties.

Shea Butter
Shea butter is fat extracted from shea tree nuts. Traditionally, parts of the shea tree were famous for their anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties, relieving health issues like ulcers, nasal congestion and, unsurprisingly, skin problems. Shea butter still mostly comes from this region, but now, it's most valued for its proven skin care abilities.

Shea butter's polyphenols—antioxidants—have anti-aging benefits and properties similar to those found in green tea. Shea butter contains five essential fatty acids, including phytosterols, vitamins E and D, allantoin (good for healing skin irritations) and vitamin A. On top of that, shea butter has anti-inflammatory and healing properties.
